Dag 2

After having arrived at a rainy
Örnsköldsvik, I went to the hostel and stayed the night. The original plan
was to wake up at 04:30 and photograph the first departures for the city
buses at 05:45 (I think it was), but since I was all exhausted, I decided
to wake up at 05:30 instead and go directly down to the bus station.

And here I am, standing in front of the bus
stations at Örnsköldsvik busstation. In just a matter of years, this bus
station will most likely disappear and be moved to the new railway station
that is taking place in connection with Botniabanan. Hence, this may be my
last pictures from this bus terminal.

KR Trafik has dominates the smaller bus
lines where Veolia transport takes care of the bigger bus lines and the
city buses.

This sign is definitely from a time when SJ
was more proud of itself...

From Övik I took the bus to Nordmaling. Here
at Nordmaling bus terminal's information board it doesn't say much, and
the clock definitely does not work.

When I said bus terminal, I guess I was kind
of wrong. It really isn't much of a bus terminal, rather, just an asphalt
ground with cars randomly parked. Notice the double-decker bus to the
right.

Good the waiting room was open so I didn't
have to wait outside (not that it was cold outside or anything).

From Nordmaling I took the bus to an even
smaller town, Hörnefors, right south of Umeå. Here the ground was
completely white and right after this picture was taken, the visibility
dropped down to about 0% since the snow just poured down.

Yes, I did get bored now and then since
there weren't *that* many buses from Hörnefors.

About an hour later, the bus that I was
looking for finally came. Swebus 5049! The ironic thing is that I will
meet this bus on the coming two days as well, but in Umeå.
From Hörnefors I took the bus to Umeå where I met two other guys that I'll
be travelling the next 1 1/2 days with and we stayed the night at one of
their friend's place.
